The Original Microwave Cooker

Macaroni And Cheeses

Serves 4

This is the ultimate comfort food. You may substitute with your favorite cheeses.

Ingredients:

2 cups elbow macaroni
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbs. butter
2 Tbs. flour
1 cup cream or half & half
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Chevre cheese
1/2 cup Fontina cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Place pasta and salt in cooker
  2. Add water to level 4
  3. Cook 10 minutes

 

Meanwhile:

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour.
  2. Gradually add in cream or half & half.
  3. Salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Cook until bubbly and thickened

 

Back to the Pasta:

  1. Remove pasta from microwave; drain.
  2. Add cheese and cream sauce to the pasta in the cooker. Mix well.
  3. Return to microwave and cook an additional 5 mins. to melt cheese.
  4. Stir before serving to mix in the cheese and sauce.
