The Original Microwave Cooker

Shrimp In Wine Sauce

 Serves 4

Use fresh or frozen shrimp (thawed)- be sure not to overcook! Shrimp is done when it turns pink. 

  4 servings fettuccini

  1 tsp. salt

  2 scallions

  1/2 cup fresh basil

  3 sprigs fresh thyme

  1/4 cup fresh oregano

  2 Tbs. butter

  1 Tbs. olive oil

  2 cloves garlic, minced

  1 lb. medium shrimp, peeled  and deveined

  1/2 cup white wine

  parsley and lemon wedges for garnish


  1. Place pasta and salt in cooker.
  2. Add water to level 4.
  3. Cook 16-17 mins.


  1. Chop scallions, basil, thyme and oregano finely
  2. Melt butter and olive oil in a skillet
  3. Add garlic; saute 1 min
  4. Add scallions, basil, thyme, oregano; saute 1 Add shrimp; stir 2 min. or until shrimp turns pink.
  5. Add wine; simmer, stirring 1-2 minutes

Back to the Pasta:

  • Remove pasta from microwave
  • Drain
  • Serve shrimp and sauce over pasta with a lemon wedge and parsley.
